Day 4 we left Harvey making our way to Yarloop. Thank you Gary for sharing your knowledge and experience of the town and the sad story of the Yarloop fires 😢
Even whilst out on the roadside we came across asbestos …
Thank you Gary for all the years of service with the society. My journey is better since knowing you 💕
Thanks Jo, Amy and little Adi for coming out to find us on the walk. Such a beautiful surprise 💐
Today in the morning we had an early start due to moving camp locations from Harvey to Serpentine. We first made our way into Yarloop and had morning tea with the CWA ladies. And they talked about the Yarloop, which was the biggest fire to happen in WA in written history, which happened in 2016.
We also did another 5km walk today between Waroona to Pinjarra. We also came across a huge herd of cows that were very happy and didn’t stop following us.
We also stayed in Waroona for a bit and had a photo with a large plastic cow, dressed up as a wittenoom miner…. who’s name is moooriel.
